Robert Maycock Memorial Writer's Prize

And again it has been way too long since I've updated this blog. Life has been very stressful, but I have some wonderful news. Earlier this month I heard that I'm one of the two winners of the Robert Maycock Memorial Writer's Prize. It still feels a little bit surreal because it's a great honour and I never expected the jury to like my review that much!

Here's the feature, published in this month's Classical Music Magazine

  1. I started reading your posts way back when – in fact, I had the chance to see Nico Muhly and Pekka Kuusisto perform a few months ago, and the only reason I knew who they were in the first place is because of your blog! So congratulations, it's well-deserved. :)

    2. It was really captivating. Pekka played some improvised traditional Finnish songs which I think was my favorite part of the whole performance.
